Welcome to Episode 22 of the breast cancer recovery coach. I am Laura Lummer. And I am super excited about today's show. Because I have a really special guest Betty Alterman on today, Betty is the founder of pink ribbon plus a breast care product company for breast cancer patients and survivors. And not only is she going to give you a ton of information that you're just going to get a lot of insights out of. But Betty is also extending a very special free offer to 15 listeners of the show today. So make sure you listen in, get the details here the offer and head to that link as quickly as you can, because today is March 3. So make sure you're one of those first 15 to jump on it. Now before I introduce Betty, I have to mention that March is National Nutrition Month. So of course I need to start the show with a little nutrition tip. I want to tell you a little bit about a really common but I think undervalued veggie that you can incorporate into your diet if you're not already doing so. And if you are doing so maybe you can incorporate it a little more frequently. The vegetable I'm talking about is raphanus sativus. And no that is not a newly legal substance in California is a common radish. Radishes are these awesome little powerhouses of nutrition. They're excellent sources of vitamin C, potassium and folate. They're also thought to be one of the oldest cultivated veggies. So I started to do a little research into radishes. And I was really surprised to find well over a dozen varieties because of course I'm familiar with the little red radishes that we see in the grocery store all the time. A couple of my new favorites are watermelon radishes and black radishes. And I really didn't even stop to think about that same family of course being daikon radishes and horse radishes and as I said many, many others so there's a ton of variety and variety is always great and the different colors offer different phytonutrients that benefit our health. Radishes are super easy to prepare because you don't have to peel them you just wash them off. And if you've never tried them cooked I would really highly recommend it. I prepare my radishes when I cook them just as I do with roasted potatoes, tossing them and a little bit of olive oil and some fresh herbs and just salt them salt and pepper and then bake them and they get this nice golden color and they taste and have a very similar texture to roasted potatoes. So they don't have all the starch. But they do have a lot of anthocyanins and anthocyanins research is suggesting might help to decrease inflammation, decrease growth of tumors, and potentially protect us from heart disease and from certain cancers. So in this show notes page, I posted a link to some tasty looking radish recipes. And I hope that you'll go there, check it out, and maybe expand your culinary experiences during National Nutrition Month by either trying a new radish or trying a different preparation for radishes or throwing them into one of these cool recipes. Okay, now the good stuff I'm really excited to bring on Betty Alderman as I said earlier, Betty is the founder of pink ribbon plus, which is a breast care product company for breast cancer patients and survivors. Betty has a really rich history of experience in breast care products, including having been a breast care educator for a leading global prosthetic product manufacturer. She's been an operations manager for a nationally recognized Breast Care boutique. She's been a radiologic technologist who specialized in mammography, and she's also a BOC certified mastectomy fitter. So her wide range of experience on both the buying and the selling side of breast care of the breast care industry really gives her an incredible range of product knowledge. She is just fantastic solution to I could talk to her for days, and she has a very unique perspective on what works for an individual's needs. Betty is not only knowledgeable but she's a top notch professional, and she has a heart and a passion for supporting breast cancer survivors in finding the right product to make you feel beautiful.

5:00
and comfortable and confident. And that's so important because, you know, we have a lot of issues that come along with going through breast cancer treatment. And just when you think it couldn't get any better, Betty also has an in depth knowledge of how to find out if your insurance will cover some or all of the costs of different breast care products. She's also written a free, downloadable guidebook that you can access as a resource in addition to her expertise, and you'll find the links to that guidebook in this show notes page on my website for this podcast. You'll also find them on the contact page of Betty's website, pink ribbon plus.com. Betty, welcome to the breast cancer recovery coach. Thank you, Laura. I am so happy to be here with you. I'm happy to have you here when we get started with hearing about your background, and then we'll talk about specifics like mastectomy bras, prosthetics and skincare. Okay, well, Laura, I have over 20 years experience working really with breast cancer patients in the breast care industry, and in an area of product called durable medical equipment. So that is how prosthetics and mastectomy bras are categorized for insurance purposes and all the rules and regulations that go along with that industry. And I spent some time being a luxury lingerie fitter, because I have a lot of experience working with breasts and bras and women and I had an encounter with a patient that made me so angry because this lovely woman came into the store was looking for a nursing bra and was very, very upset and clearly embarrassed. And I said what do you you know, why are you looking for that. And she explained to me, she was getting ready to go through breaker therapy or radiation seek therapy. And her doctor or someone on her medical team sent her out to look for nursing bras or they would have easy access, you know, to her site, her radiation site. And it just made me so angry that they sent this woman out in this particular situation to pound the pavement to look for a product that is out there for her, you know many different products for breast cancer patients already covered by insurance, wonderful boutiques and breast care facilities that offer these products and fit patients in it just made me so angry. And I just had this, you know, epiphany that I know that women aren't getting information. I know this industry inside and out. And it just it just launched me into creating a one stop shop website for breast cancer patients, whether they're survivors or newly diagnosed, and also for medical professionals where they can really get all the information they need product insurance, and the content and get answers to questions that they have. And that site is called Pink Ribbon. plus.com. Right. It's called Pink Ribbon plus.com I have a basically what I call breast care industry 101 guide book that they can download. It has some really just basic information about the industry and the products available and insurance coverage. And they can also, like I said, download that for free off my website that is so awesome. And I think you know, we've talked about for the recording this show. And so many women that I talked to don't have the information they need about the resources that could properly support them. So I love that you're doing this and you have some really great information to bring things that we talked about that I didn't even have any idea existed. So I'm looking forward to it, you have a credential as a certified mastectomy fitter. So yes, as a certified mastectomy fitter, which is a credential that you have to actually sit for a national board, you have to have several 100 hours of hands on patient fitting under the supervision of an already certified mastectomy fitter, you also have to have, you know, certain education hours. And with all of that precursor or prerequisite combination of things that you've acquired, you can sit for a national board and get your certification. There's actually two umbrella organizations that give the test for being certified. And it's really a level of professionalism that has been brought into the industry mostly from from insurance providers, Medicare, other regulatory bodies, who really want the best for the patient and want to make sure that they are being fit with the products correctly, and of course, are getting reimbursed correctly from the insurance providers. That's wonderful. What do you think after someone who maybe haven't gone through a mastectomy, bilateral mastectomy, any of the things we might encounter in breast cancer treatment? What's the difference? Or what could they expect for some specific points that someone with your credential might look at as opposed to if they walk

10:00
into the mall to their, you know, normal place where they might purchase a bra. Right. So first of all, the mall stores typically don't carry these particular specialized products, that the manufacturer of these products provide and sell the products primarily to the dealers who provide breast cancer fitting services there, there are other options like online stores like mine, and pink ribbon plus, and other online vendors. But I really feel like there is no substitute for especially newly diagnosed patient, there is no substitute for them to getting a professional fitting bias by mastectomy fitter. These ladies who do the fitting are compassionate, they're understanding they deal with breast cancer patients every day. And they have a broad range of understanding of products that are available. And there are so many choices for women now that you know, a lot of right after diagnosis, there's a whole spectrum of products that women may need. And then after surgery, or after radiation and chemo and then after multiple surgeries, you know, your body changes over age with age or body changes. So you're not going to find that level of product selection, just going into any store. And that's so good to know. Because as we've talked about your breast do not have the shape, it's been reconstructed, they're completely different shape than a natural breast typically, and regular bras don't fit properly. And And don't forget, your listeners probably know but should know that insurance covers these products, many of these products and insurance is generally very fair about the coverage for products and bras for breast forms and bras. So that's also a benefit that the patient gets from going to someone who understands the insurance reimbursement part of it. Right. And I don't think that a lot of people know that. I know, I didn't know that I wasn't aware of that until I started talking with you. Your company is in Georgia. And so can people work with you from a distance to get your expertise on this, if they called if they say lived in California?

12:18
Absolutely. I want every woman Laura to know whether they're newly diagnosed or a 10 year survivor, that they have so many choices. Now from the breast care industry, all these companies are devoted to creating products for women and improving the products for breast cancer patients. So it can really be daunting for them to figure out what are the best products for you to keep up with the latest products that have been developed insurance is very stressful and confusing. Patients in the beginning are going through a lot of navigation and trying to digest so much information, you know, they may have a boutique that's close by close by to them, and they may not even know it or they just may not want to go to a breast cancer store, which is where I can help them so much because I know the industry so well and I know the different stages they're going through and the products they you know, they may need. Also a lot of the online retailers may not offer the breadth of products that they need to have access to. And you know, I know this because I've done the trainings for a lot of these in house sales agents and online sales agents that was part of one of my jobs as a breast care educator for one of the major manufacturers of products. And I know that those agents are helpful, but you know, they're either they're often selling other products from the company that they work for. And they're also often selling other medical related products so they're not really focused necessarily on just rescue products in Iam so and and the other specialty breast cancer boutiques are as well. That's so great. And I love that you have that special knowledge because I think that it is really important to to have respect and to honor that emotional component. And of a woman now looking for a bra looking for a fitting looking how to feel the way that she wants to feel after having gone through breast cancer treatment, but also having that knowledge of how to help her financially as far as navigating insurance and maybe getting reimbursed for some product. It's so so important because these things are not cheap, and especially after treatment, which can be you know, financially very devastating to go through breast cancer treatment. So it's nice to have someone that has an understanding of the physical and the emotional and the financial components of you know, getting back to feeling good again and feeling normal again, having something that makes you feel pretty.

14:48
Exactly and you know what we all know that a lot of about a lot of about feeling good about ourselves comes from the inside but it sure does help to look and feel great on the

15:00
outside to and to, you know, walk into a room and have your self esteem back and your self assurance and know that people are looking at you, you know no longer is a breast cancer patient, but just they're looking at you because you look normal. And when you look normal you it helps you feel normal. Right? So they're looking at you're going wow, I thought she had breast cancer. She looks good.

15:22
Yeah, wow, I would never be able to tell. Well, let's talk about some of your favorite products. So what about a? What about a bra? Is there a special kind of bra that you think is wonderful? And and what can someone who's gone through a mastectomy or looking for a new bra? What can and should they expect from a good fitting. So I'm a firm believer in one bra does not fit, you know every name and that women need a wardrobe of bras. And this is something we would constantly talk about on the retail side of things. But because insurance does limit how many bras you get for a breast cancer patient, oftentimes they don't. They're not given the opportunity from from insurance providers to get a whole wardrobe of bras but I'm like by the bra, you don't have to have your insurance just you know, you don't have to have the only the bras that insurance will reimburse you for we're women, we're used to going out and buying, you know, bra, right? It's great. And it's it's right that insurance covers these products. But don't limit yourself anymore. Everyone has something in their closet that they wish they had the perfect bra for especially a breast cancer survivor. So there really are four types of bras that every woman should have, whether you're a breast cancer survivor or not, in my opinion, and that would be you know, your everyday bra, your T shirt bra, your seamless bra. And if you have a lot of breast and you need a lot of support, and that bra probably may or may not work for you, then you just need a really good supportive everyday bra. You need a sports bra or athleisure bra so that when you you know want to do sports or be active, you're dressed for the part that's kind of everyday attire nowadays. And you need a strapless bra, because on occasion, you're gonna want to wear something strapless, and if you're a breast cancer survivor, oftentimes, you know there is a way to accommodate a strapless bra with different types of breast forms, maybe not the one you have. So there's always an option for that. And then just you know, a convertible bra, something that can be a racerback something that can be a halter. I mean, all the bras in the breast care industry are fashioned after regular big box mainstream fashion bras, right, and I can put them together side by side, if if I had the opportunity and you would never know one from the other, you really wouldn't know one from the other. They're beautiful. That's great. And I have looked on your website, they are beautiful, you have a lot of beautiful products. Yeah. And something else that was is really interesting. So some women are not eligible for reconstruction for whatever reasons during their treatment, and some choose not to have reconstruction. So what's available for these ladies. And also, I'd want to touch on something you told me which I didn't think about is if a woman did have reconstruction and maybe wasn't thrilled with the shape for a specific dress or something like that there are other prosthetic products that she could use to enhance that appearance. Right. So let's talk a little bit first about just the mastectomy or the lumpectomy, multiple lumpectomy patient scenario. There are so many different breast forms. And I have curated my product line on the website. There are hundreds and hundreds of different versions of breast forms. It's really confusing. I have chosen the ones that I think work best for the majority of patients that I have fit. But just to break it down. There are silicone breast forms that have actually a polyurethane casing and that were silicone is actually pumped into the breast form. And that's your classic breast form that's really been around variations of it that's been around for decades. And within the past few years, the 100% silicone breast form has come out. And I love this breast form. It's lighter, you can often wear it without a pocket and bra. It's a little bit cooler. It has a beautiful feel and drape shape to it. I say drape. I had a patient once say I have droop, but in

19:32
we say Dre

19:34
like he's out there, maybe understand what the word drag mean.

19:39
You know, there's a lot of technology behind these rest forms. I've been very involved with some of the r&d and I know what they go through. And there's cooling technology that is available where

19:53
the makeup of the silicone actually draws heat away from the body and ooh, that's wonderful talked about this

20:00
Yeah, summer and we're so high and I say, You know what, when it's 100%, when it's 100 degrees in the shade, my breasts are hot,

20:08
hot. And typically women do complain about the heat of a breast form. Okay, so they should know, you know, there are some options out there. Yeah, that's so important. That's really cool stuff. That's neat to know. Right, right. And then for the reconstructive patient, which definitely has specific issues with the way that that reconstructive breast looks. There is a brand new forum just out last year, that is actually used for women going through reconstruction. And I'm talking about the inflation reconstruction, as you're going through the stages of inflation. Of course, you're missing the true shape of a breast when it's completed. So there is a breast form that's just come out, it's called the recover. And it's in parts it has, it has sections that peel away and as you become more inflated, you peel away a section of it. And you're you're left with a beautiful shell, which basically gives you

21:13
more of the true shape of a breast after it's it's been reconstructed, typically as missing apex or a nipple apex, meaning the pointy are part of the breast. And it just helps you achieve that if you want to use it, you don't have to use it. So it's really an amazing product, it's just coming out and the reconstructive breast often, you might just need a nipple, you may not want to go through another procedure or a tattoo for a nipple, there's just you can get a custom nipple, you can get an off the shelf nipple, there's so many choices. That's remarkable. That is really cool. Betty, I know there's another form of breast form that's very important to you that you want people to know about. And that's the custom Breast Form. Yes, Laura, the custom Breast Form is an amazing product. And I've had a lot of experience with them. So I can speak from personal experience as far as training fitters to make the breast forms and seeing how they are, are produced in in the factories. And they really are a combination of art and science, they're beautiful. They it's a very easy process you're typically scanned to either match an existing breast or to create, you know, a bilateral look for two breasts, they are so beautiful that you can pick the color of your skin tone, you can pick the color of your nipple, you can pick it, you want to pick a nipple or a semipermeable. You can add beauty marks, you can add three dimensional veins, if you're trying to mimic, you know, an existing breast, they're amazing that they they look in and when they're in your bra, and you have on your clothes, you it is the best way to get symmetry, a lot of ladies after failed reconstruction, or because of multiple surgeries and off the shelf breast form just does not work for them. They just don't know what to do. They just don't look normal, and they don't feel themselves. So this is the perfect perfect option if you are in one of those categories. And I want to say that although Medicare doesn't cover anything but a basic regular silicone form. The other payers like Cigna, the blues and some of the other providers actually have very generous benefits. And they will cover most of the cost or all of the cost of a customer is formed. There's always some sort of criteria, like you have to have already tried an off the shelf product. But a lot of this information is on my website about the customer s form about insurance and how they're how they're manufactured and produced. And you know, if they have any questions about a custom Breast Form, your listeners can certainly reach out to me, I can look at it on my website, they can email me and I'm happy to answer questions. There's also a little bit of information

24:06
in the downloadable guide book about the custom restaurant. That's wonderful. And it's not I think you had said it's not a one shot deal, right? They can get custom breast forms, again, if they need them if they've had some kind of a change. So everything is really based once again, I know sounds like a broken record on your insurance benefits. Every payer is different insurance is so complicated. But typically an insurance provider will often offer a regular silicone breast form every two years. If there's documentation that that breast form is no longer wearable, it's very likely that because this is a custom silicone breast form, they may have the same coverage you're really going to have to you know check with your provider but oftentimes on the broad side of things, and not Medicare once again, but other payers are very generous with their bra allowances too. So

25:00
out, they shouldn't feel like insurance is gonna be an obstacle to getting products and with the custom breast form, it's very possible

25:10
that they will pre approve, that's a product that can be pricey or more expensive than the off the shelf products. This is something you're gonna wear every single day, this is, how you feel and how you look. And

25:25
it's so worth it, if you're not getting a product that's making you feel that way, this could be an option for you. I love that. And I, you know, you and I, we, when we were talking, we shared a story about a friend of mine, who was not eligible for reconstruction because of some complications that she had going through treatment. And here's this lovely woman who's been through absolute hell and getting breast cancer treatment. And now she's on the other side of it, and she's trying to feel good about herself. And she's using a sock to fill the other side of her bra. And, you know, there's always that well, what can you wear so that the sock doesn't show or the sock falls out or something like that. And so when I heard about this, which I didn't know, you know, that you could use these breast forms and how you can enhance it and I thought, Oh, I wish that she had known about that and had that because I know that you would feel so much more competent, not worrying about a sock falling out of your shirt, you know, while you're walking around all day long. Which brings me to the point about just making sure that and I am guilty myself of not having the best fitting bra. But it's really crucial that you have the right fitting bra for a prosthesis because to your point, you really want that prosthesis to fit well against your chest wall. You don't want it sloshing around or slipping or moving. And that's another reason why. And like I said, before I ever got a professional fit. I was in the wrong bra for many, many, many, many years. It's just something women just tend to, you know, they're fitting themselves and they they invariably will fit themselves incorrectly. But yeah, your friend, I mean, it just amazes me that women come in with birdseed in their socks and birdseed and

27:09
things like that, that they're trying to mimic their breast. And honestly, these products are just beautiful. And they will make a world of difference when someone looks and feels and gives you so much more freedom of selection with your clothing. You know, because you don't have to worry about concealing birdseed in a sock in a bra badly. Yeah, there's, you know, there are different breast forms for different parts of your lifestyle. Because there's breast forms. There's a dynamic breast form that I love. For women who are very active in one exercise or golf or swim, there are swim forms, there are forms that are great to use when you're doing your yoga or just if you don't want to wear your silicone form all day every day. And you just want to change into something that's very dynamic and moves with you. It's not rigid, like a regular silicone breast form. But it's lighter in weight, it's more your leisure form. Also, it was what we call it. So like I said, just so many choices for your ladies out there. That is wonderful. I love that. And I want to just bring that up one more time that you had said some of this information about getting reimbursement or what might be available through insurances you've included in the guidebook that you have available on your website. Right. So you know, insurance just like any business has, it's a special language and anyone who's diagnosed with breast cancer quickly learns that there is a whole new vocabulary of lots of words that you can't even understand with the medications and a lot of the terminology so it does become very stressful also to have to try to figure out the insurance reimbursement. And there is some special language that I have put into this guidebook that your your listeners, hopefully your listeners, you know, we'll be able to download that and take advantage of that as well. And if they have any questions I'm always available to consult with or to ask questions to they can email me insurance provider, everyone is different. And I think everyone understands how complicated insurances but there are some generalizations that are in this in this guidebook that I know will be helpful. Okay, that's awesome. That's great. And before we move into talking about because another step obviously in breast care and breast appearance, is some of the changes that can take place in the tissue as we go through radiation treatment. And so you do have a lovely skincare line specific for treating the skin that's going through radiation. And you also have set up a special offer for the listeners. Regarding that skincare. Yeah, I have I love a skincare line called Lindy scan. And for your first 15 listeners that go to my website between now and March 21 Fourth, march 24. They can look for their Lindy skin free sample, they'll have to enter a code book

30:00
Out is L L. B CRC, that's an honor view Thank you receive a free sample of Lindi Skin. And the reason I love this product is because I've seen its effect on patients and how, how much they've enjoyed using it and the benefits that they gain from it. But also, it's formulated with the advice of a Medical Advisory Board, which to me is very impressive. And it was developed specifically for patients going through cancer treatment. And it addresses the effects that treatment has on your skin, during and after treatment. So it just amazes me, Laura, that people don't know about this product that the medical professionals don't know about it. But it is recommended, used and sold by many of the very large cancer organizations across the country. And it's just a great natural skincare line I've had patients come in long after remission, and through their survivorship who've just bought the product line. Just because it's a great skincare line. And I know you're very into skincare, there's no makeup involved in it. But I know you're very into a natural products that you have on your website as well. And it really is specifically a skincare line. You know, for patients going through any kind of cancer treatment, not just breast cancer

31:23
patients, we had a wig fitting room in my boutique that I managed. And you know, we saw women going through all kinds of cancer treatment, not just breast cancer. So it is it is a great product. And I do want them to have a chance to try it. Right definitely. So let's talk a little bit about when it if you know you're going through radiation, should you start skincare prior to your first treatment, what's the best way to go about it? Or does that depend on the person and the treatment? So it's gonna definitely depend on the person it depends on the chemo drug, different chemos have different reactions, people react differently to their chemos, as you know, to radiation radiation typically will, across the board cause some burning and redness and soreness. And Lindy skin also has some specific products for radiation treatment that can help to cool the skin and to help with that irritation. Okay, but you know, as someone who's been in medicine, on the medical side of things, I mean, part of my background is I did mammography for 10 years. So, you know, I'm very familiar with hospital organizations and and I've worked for doctors and offices, I have to say that everybody has to check with their medical team and their medical professionals about using any skincare products, I really can't imagine that some

32:40
did, they would not suggest that you could use this product. But you know, I just everyone's going to vary. And as far as long term care for again, there's no reason why you can't keep using this product line

32:54
long after what's great. And I think it's important to bring up again asking about it, because we have to continually remind ourselves that when we're in treatment for cancer, our doctors are concerned with saving our lives. And as much as we may be very concerned with our physical appearance during treatment and after treatment, that's really not something that's at the top of mind for our physicians. And so another reason why we don't hear about a lot of this, you're not going to have a physician says oh, here's the you know, you want to look for a certified mastectomy fitter in order to get a good bra when you're done here. Or here's some great skincare you can use. A lot of women I know it's once they've been burned, or once they've had some kind of serious side effect from the radiation is when the doctor is like, Oh, you might want to try this or you might want to try that. So it's really important to be asking those questions, because there are a lot of resources out there. But I don't think it's something that a physician wouldn't necessarily be telling you about, because it's not really their area. Right. So you are exactly correct about that. I understand completely, that you've got a medical team, right after diagnosis, and I'm talking about early on that they are trying to get your cancer and save your life. And there's so many important issues and decisions and protocols and regimens and the treatment plans that have to be considered and figured out that sometimes some of these things do get put on the backburner, but you will think about it, you will have questions about it. And I really just want women to have a resource to go to and i i That is why that is exactly why I created my website and my company. Awesome. totally correct about that. And that's why I created the podcasts, you know, and the tagline getting back to life after breast cancer, because when you're going through cancer treatment, these things aren't really that important to you. You're really thinking about staying alive. And then once you come out on the other end alive it's like okay, now how do I start feeling good again? How do I get well

35:00
Again, how do I, you know, treat my appearance again? And what do I do when my hair grows back? And how do I treat the skin that may have gotten burned? So you're absolutely right. And that's the point. And these are all of the resources that are so helpful for women who are now looking at their life and saying, okay, you know, now what do I do to feel good again.

So if there's anything that you that you wanted our listeners to know about, and especially if they don't live in Georgia, and they can't come and see you, personally, we touched on a little bit earlier in the show, but what are the best ways to get a hold of you to work with you? And what would you like them to know?

So it's very easy to get a hold of me, I have a local number, I have an 800 number on on pink ribbon plus.com, I have a list of what I call topic points or discussion points that you can also look at. It's a downloadable PDF, and it's really a lot of the questions you may have, that I can help answer for you. Or if your medical team hasn't answered some of these questions for you ask them to reach out to me, I want to help doctors help their patients. That's great. Yes, I do. I do. I really do. And I just know they don't have the resources. Because as we said, they're really focused on some other issues. But it would be easy for me to help them prepare something to give to their patients so that they do have the information. But they can reach me, they can call me they can email me with their questions, they can download that free guidebook, I want them to make sure they get a chance to get their free offer their free sample of Lindy skin. And when you go through some of the information on my website, and there is a information specifically for survivors for newly diagnosed and for medical professionals, it may tweet it may, you know, tweak question that you didn't think of that you might really want the answer to but you didn't even know you needed to know that information. Good point. Yeah, very complicated, right. It's easy to get in touch with me. Thank you. Well, I appreciate you coming on here. And betta you, you have a wealth of information. And I highly encourage anybody I wish that I had known about you, you know, six years ago when I was trying to figure out but I know now. And so that's what counts. It's been great having you on the show, I love all the information and the resources that you have to offer. And so I look forward to all the other women out there now that are going to have access to pink ribbon plus, thank you so much, it was an honor to be here with you. And to be able to share this information with your listeners. I hope you all got as much out of listening to Betty as I did, I had no idea that these resources were out there and I had no idea that my insurance might even cover some of them. Finding and navigating that whole situation the bra situation after a mastectomy or lumpectomy, the whole thing, it's just would be awesome to have her expertise. So I want to cover a couple of important points again, in summary, make sure you go to my website, Laura lummer.com, click on podcasts, and then click on the episode 22 podcast link so that you can go to the link for the free offer of Lindy skincare. Remember the first 15 people to click on that link will receive that product, which thank you again so much Betty for doing that is really, really kind. I also want to remind you to check out the guide book that Betty has put together for after breast cancer treatment or during treatment for care. So she has some fantastic information in that guide book. I'll also post a one page consulting document that Betty has put together. And again, even in that document, she reminds you to direct your medical professional directly to her and then she can interact with them and try to help navigate the system for you to find out what's going to work best for you what products will best suit your needs, and maybe even be able to help you with a little bit of the insurance information as well. She's just a remarkable resource. So please reach out to her user look through her website. She's got some beautiful, beautiful pieces there. And I'm really excited about it. I'm so excited that I found her. Thank you so much for listening to this episode. And just as a reminder, if you enjoy this podcast, please go to the iTunes Store, leave a positive review, subscribe to the podcast and that just keeps making it easier and easier for other people who need to hear this information to find it. If you haven't downloaded my book, six habits of healthy happy breast cancer survivors.
